The Journey Begins
Hello!
Welcome to our blog. We (Larry and Joye) lived in our previous home for 23 years and I miss my roses so much! Larry brought some with us to plant at the new house along with a fig tree, a pecan tree, a red oak tree and two hibiscus plants.
Unable to find a house (Beckie searched high and low but none “spoke” to us) with gas stove and fireplace and no tile floors, we decided to build. We have a wonderful team, Mark and Ernest, who patiently worked with us to develop a house plan we loved. We thought it would be fun to keep a record of the house being built, and our son suggested a blog.
This is the way our lot looked to begin with. This is the left side of the lot.....
